Whole-House Design Case | The Entire Space Feels Very Spacious

This case showcases a minimalist, whole‑home design. Let’s take a look together!

The living room’s design is quite distinctive: instead of using walls for partitions, the designer opted for long black glass panels, which prevent the space from feeling cramped and make it appear more open and spacious.

The living room and kitchen are connected, so to delineate the functional areas, the homeowner arranged the sofa and TV cabinet into a rectangular shape and placed a rug underneath, effectively separating the living area from the kitchen—this approach is well worth emulating for families with an open-plan layout.

There’s an oversized glass door between the living room and the balcony, providing excellent natural light. A louvered shutter has also been installed on top; when watching TV, you can simply slide it down, making it both practical and convenient.

The kitchen is truly stunning—unlike most others, it eschews overhead cabinets for storage and instead features a mirrored clock mounted directly on the wall, lending a stylish, modern touch.

The single-line kitchen places washing, chopping, and cooking all along one straight line, saving time and effort while cooking. The walls are painted in gray, and the backsplash uses white wavy plastic panels—both visually appealing and easy to keep clean.

The dining area is designed as a separate room, which is quite creative. The sideboard serves multiple purposes: it can display collectibles on the top surface, while the lower cabinets offer ample storage space.

In the bathroom, the vanity cabinet is designed to be suspended, eliminating hard-to-clean dead corners and giving the space a clean, tidy appearance.

That concludes our overview of this minimalist whole‑home design project. If you liked it, feel free to leave us a comment and share your thoughts!
