The living room features a no-main-light design throughout, with track spotlights and recessed downlights serving as the primary lighting sources, complemented by indirect LED light strips for ambient illumination. Lighting types, brightness levels, and color temperatures are customized to reflect residents’ daily routines and spatial functions—rather than simply prioritizing maximum brightness.

For us, the living room serves primarily as a space for hosting friends, a dedicated weekend afternoon tea zone for close girlfriends, and a playful haven for our baby.

The dining island and dining table are designed as an integrated layout: the dining table is positioned against the window inside the space, while the bar counter faces outward.

Placing the bar counter at the kitchen entrance is more practical; conversely, positioning the dining table outside would cause dining chairs to obstruct the passage into the kitchen, compromising convenience.
The bar counter doubles as an oversized storage cabinet—its lower section accommodates bottles, jars, and small appliances, making it exceptionally functional.

Kitchen countertop layout must be carefully planned to support habitual daily workflows: washing, cutting, and cooking. We highly recommend a large single-basin sink—once experienced, the paired small basins feel impractical and underwhelming. Our home features a premium quartz stone single-basin sink, significantly pricier than standard stainless steel models, yet far more resistant to oil stains and visually outstanding.

The master bedroom’s wardrobe was relocated from the side of the bed to the opposite wall—made possible by borrowing space from the adjacent children’s room. This adjustment not only widens the bedroom but also increases storage capacity through the front-facing wardrobe configuration.

Although the bathroom does not feature dry-wet separation, its functionality is robust. A custom storage cabinet is built into the pipework beside the vanity—how many homes can boast such generous bathroom storage?
