This case showcases a modern minimalist whole‑home design. Let’s take a look together!
We integrated the entryway and dining area. On lower floors, even a single architectural element can impact precious natural light. After removing unnecessary partitions, we softened the traditional entryway concept while adding a dedicated shoe bench, an entryway cabinet, a full-length mirror for dressing, and a large shoe storage unit. This approach balances functional richness with the preservation of invaluable natural light.

In the living room, we abandoned all wall treatments, opting instead for the simplest finish—latex paint—in white. This choice allows the limited light to refract off the pale walls and spill into the dimly lit dining area. For the overall interior design, we also moved away from traditional full symmetry, embracing asymmetry instead. We selected furniture colors that are richer and more nuanced, softening the style and infusing the space with a cozy, home‑like atmosphere.

The blue and purple sofas pull the retro vibe back toward modernity, making the entire space feel naturally relaxing.

We slightly partitioned the passageway between the dining area and the shoe cabinet, creating a subtle separation that both isolates the dining space and avoids the awkwardness of the shoe cabinet directly facing the dining table.

In the kitchen, the simple black-and-white color scheme lends an air of clean simplicity. The door leading to the utility balcony places laundry appliances on either side, while outdoor greenery draws the eye into the kitchen, turning mundane chores into a more enjoyable part of daily life.

In the bathroom, we eliminated the shower function, repurposing the space primarily for the female homeowner’s makeup needs and storage of personal items. By foregoing a shower, we were able to install a double-sink vanity instead.

In the study, we added ample storage solutions, providing organized spaces for previously cluttered items. We also incorporated numerous bookcases, ensuring that books once stashed away in storage bins could now be displayed prominently.

That concludes our overview of this modern minimalist home design project. If you like it, feel free to leave us a comment and join the conversation!
