Whole-House Design Case | A Sophisticated, High-End Lifestyle in Black, White, Gray, and Coffee Tones

This project showcases a modern, light‑luxury style whole‑house design. Let’s take a look together! This case showcases a modern, light‑luxury whole‑home design. Let’s take a look together!

For the living room’s sofa backdrop wall, we kept the design relatively simple, avoiding excessive ornamentation or materials. On the left side, we combined leather upholstery with wood veneer to create a two-fifths shaped feature wall, while the remaining three-fifths of the wall is primarily painted white, punctuated by a stainless-steel accent strip that ties the elements together seamlessly.

Throughout the entire living and dining area, we adopted a lighting scheme without a central chandelier, resulting in a visually smooth ceiling free from the obstruction of pendant lights.

A gray fabric three-seater sofa paired with a casual single chair, complemented by a large coffee table—this combination strikes a balance between understated elegance and warmth. For soft furnishings, we chose gray linen-cotton fabrics and synthetic leathers, which are not only stain-resistant but also offer a distinctive textural appeal.

The design approach and materials used throughout the dining area closely mirror those of the living room, ensuring visual consistency and lending the space an air of grandeur. In terms of layout, our primary strategy was to transform the kitchen into an open-plan design, making both the dining and kitchen areas feel more spacious while incorporating a Western-style kitchen and a standalone wet-bar island.

We designed the kitchen as an open-plan space, featuring both Chinese and Western cooking zones, with a modern, refined aesthetic. The walls are clad in gray tiles, while the lower portion of the cabinetry uses wood veneer panels, creating a cohesive look across the space. The upper cabinets are finished in light gray lacquered panels, providing a pleasing contrast.

In the master bedroom, everyone dreams of living and relaxing in a beautifully crafted, refined environment—a warm yet elegant space that infuses daily life with vitality, offering a high-quality, supremely comfortable sleeping experience.

The study’s bookcase was custom-made from start to finish. We finalized the desk’s design beforehand and then proceeded almost entirely according to these specifications. The cabinet features a two-thirds open configuration, with one-third enclosed by doors for storing more private items.

In the bathroom, the washbasin is integrated with a wall-mounted toilet, enhancing both the visual appeal and practical functionality while expanding storage space on the vanity top.

That wraps up our introduction to this modern, light‑luxury whole‑home design. If you like it, feel free to leave us a comment below!
