This project showcases a whole-house design in the modern minimalist style—let’s explore this BOSNIE case study together!

Entryway — Minimalist, Yet Thoughtful: Step into a modern minimalist home. Today’s urban dwellers face city noise and pollution, intense competition, demanding work schedules, and fast-paced lifestyles—making them increasingly drawn to fresh, natural, and relaxed living environments.

The living room serves as both a hub for family life—activities such as relaxing, entertaining, gathering, and dining—and a social space for hosting guests and engaging with the outside world. As the heart of the home and its public-facing window, it anchors daily life and represents the household to visitors.

Consequently, living room renovation is a focal point of the entire home renovation project. With a prominent TV feature wall, other areas can adopt simpler decorative treatments. However, the sofa in the guest seating zone plays a pivotal role—the shape and color of the sofa directly define the living room’s overall aesthetic.

The TV feature wall stands out as a highlight of the residence. Constructed using gypsum board, latex paint, and striped wallpaper, its understated material palette creates a distinctly modern spatial atmosphere.

Color occupies no physical space and is unaffected by structural constraints—offering exceptional flexibility in application while most vividly expressing the homeowner’s personal style. A rich coffee tone serves as the dominant hue, conveying sophistication, elegance, balanced contrast, and harmonious symmetry—its warmth and depth seamlessly integrated with the broader spatial environment.

Designing the dining area centers on cultivating an inviting dining atmosphere—one that aligns cohesively with the home’s overall aesthetic. The color scheme of this space significantly influences diners’ psychological experience and comfort.

First, food colors affect appetite; second, the dining area’s ambient colors exert a similar influence. Personal preferences and temperament lead to wide variation in preferred dining room palettes. Other soft furnishings—such as wall art—can be arranged flexibly, provided they remain complementary rather than overwhelming, preserving visual clarity and harmony.

The master bedroom features a ceiling with symmetrical gypsum board recessed lighting and downlights, while the headboard wall incorporates wallpaper and other refined materials.

This approach crafts a modern, simple, and comfortable master suite. For guest bedrooms, primary decorative materials include latex paint, wallpaper, and gypsum moldings.

That concludes our presentation of this modern minimalist whole-house design case. If you enjoyed it, feel free to leave a comment for BOSNIE’s editorial team!

Creamy Mid-Century Style | Gentle without being cloying, vintage without feeling oppressive

Creamy Mid-Century Modern | Gentle but not cloying, vintage yet not oppressive. You love the soft, soothing charm of cream‑toned interiors, but worry that an all‑white palette might feel too plain or grow tiresome over time; you admire the timeless, textured appeal of mid‑century design, yet fear dark wood tones could make a space feel heavy and gloomy. A purely cream‑based aesthetic tends to feel light and lacks visual focal points, which can make it feel monotonous after a while; meanwhile…
