Whole‑House Design Case: Balancing Storage Needs with Everyday Aesthetics

This project showcases a full‑house design in the American style. Let’s take a look together! The dining‑side cabinet seamlessly integrates a home‑use direct‑drinking water dispenser, a coffee machine, and storage for snacks. In the living room, the built‑in storage unit accommodates speakers and audio‑visual equipment, while also serving as a bookshelf for the children and a display case for the homeowner’s own product samples—offering practical storage without sacrificing aesthetic appeal, as evidenced by the hand‑painted mural. This case showcases a full‑house design in the American style. Let’s take a look together!

The sideboard combines functions for storing the home’s direct-drinking water dispenser, coffee machine, and snacks.

Living room storage cabinet: It features built-in compartments for speakers and audio equipment, a bookshelf for children’s books, and space to display samples of the homeowner’s own products. Beyond its practical storage capabilities, it also incorporates an aesthetic sensibility—hand-painted murals serve as a fine example of this integration.

In the dining area, we’ve added an island counter that serves both as a Western-style kitchen and a sideboard, while a square-shaped long table comfortably accommodates meals for the household’s regular residents.

Between the kitchen and dining room, we’ve installed a three‑panel sliding door as a partition. When closed, the sliding door effectively separates the spaces, discreetly concealing the refrigerator, while cleverly connecting the flow between the kitchen and dining area.

The master bedroom maintains an American style, with furniture that harmonizes in color and material throughout the entire home.

Originally, the walk-in closet was too small, so we reduced the bathroom’s footprint slightly to expand the closet space.

The study is primarily designed to meet the needs of working from home, featuring custom-built, wall‑to‑wall bookshelves that fully accommodate daily work tasks as well as reading and leisure activities.

The bathroom’s vintage tiles are striking, while the black cabinets, shower enclosure, and showerhead lend a modern, stylish touch, echoing the overall home theme and blending fashion and artistic elements into a relaxed American aesthetic.

That concludes our introduction to this American-style whole-house design case. If you like it, feel free to leave us a comment!

14 Sideboard and Wine Cabinet Combo Ideas—Follow These Designs to Avoid Any Fails

How do you choose between a sideboard and a wine cabinet without making a mistake? Just copy this collection of 14 designs. A mix of hidden and exposed elements looks sophisticated: keep everyday drinkware within easy reach, store your wine in a glass-front cabinet, and tuck away odds and ends out of sight. For color schemes, remember this formula: start with a creamy white or natural wood base, then add pops of darker hues for contrast—timeless and versatile. As for dimensions, here’s the key: leave a 40‑centimeter gap on the countertop to comfortably fit a coffee machine or water dispenser. You don’t have to choose between style and practicality.
